Songfacts®:

  • Rather than glorifying women, cars and money as many contemporary hip-hop artists are inclined to do, Ace Hood wanted to spit rhymes about what's going on in the streets and his own experiences on his 2011 Blood, Sweat & Tears album. He told The Boombox about this track, saying, "It's kind of just giving you my life issues, what I went through personally with my mom being in and out of the hospital and my little [infant twin] girls. 'Man of flesh may not understand what I've been through, the hard times, the long nights, but only Lord knows.'"
