  • Born in Torrance, California, Alyssa Grace began singing incessantly at age 2, leading her parents to enroll her in formal vocal lessons by the time she was 7. Her early career saw her performing the National Anthem at sporting events and appearing in various theater productions. By age 10 she had picked up the guitar, and only a year later she began writing her own original songs.
  • Her creative process starts with a Notes app. Grace told The Pop Break she's "always writing things down - little phrases, quotes, things people say" that stick with her.

"When I feel overwhelmed, I go back to those and piece them together," she said. "It usually starts with lyrics, then I'll pick up my guitar and figure out what feels right. It's very unstructured but it's whatever comes naturally."
  • She released her debut single, "Dog With a Bone," in February 2026. "That was the first song where I put everything into it," she told The Pop Break. "I think that's when I really found my voice and when I stopped holding back emotionally."

The song became the foundation on which everything since has been built.
  • "Dog With a Bone" and her second single, "Picking Petals," are both rooted in the same real-life relationship. Grace described the situation behind the first song as "unresolved" and said writing the follow-up was about "realizing that - I can still feel attached, but I have to actually follow through and leave." She called "Picking Petals," "'Dog With a Bone's sister.'"
  • She built her following largely through TikTok, where her emotionally direct, acoustic performances stood out for their lack of artifice. "Seeing people relate to my songs has made me realize I'm not alone either," she told The Pop Break. "That's been really comforting."
