Songfacts®:

  • This folky ukulele ballad is the closing track of Ariana Grande's Christmas EP, Christmas & Chill. The record follows 2013's Christmas Kisses, which featured seasonal standards like "Santa Baby" and the original songs "Love Is Everything" and "Snow In California" as well as the 2014 single "Santa Tell Me."
  • The songs were penned by Ariana Grande with her team of Victoria McCants, Thomas Lee Brown, Travis Sayles, Steven Franks, Ryan Matthew Tedder and Peter Lee Johnson. They put together the EP in less than a week. Grande tweeted: "I love/am so proud of my talented friends! We put this EP together in under a week in my home stu (studio)! It was a long, productive slumber party."
  • Boca Raton, Florida native Ariana Grande is used to sunny and warm Christmases (the annual temperature in her hometown is 77°F). In this song she refuses to let the hot weather melt the magic of being with her bae over the festive season by doing wintery things such as ice skating and chilling by the fire.
