Songfacts®:

  • Lead vocalist Chris "Fronz" Fronzak told Artist Direct the story behind this song. "That song has more meaning than any song we've done in the past few years," he said. "I don't want to drop names, but there were bands in the past who completely shut us down. All we wanted was a chance. Three or four years ago when we first started touring heavily, landing a good tour was the best thing that could happen. You'd do anything to try and get on these great bills. We'd bust our asses to try to get an opening spot. There were bands who would s--t on us. They wouldn't just say 'no,' they would go on to say they would never bring us on tour ever."

"Now, fast forward three years," Froz continued, "those same bands are begging to open tours for us. It's like, 'What the f--k?' We didn't do anything wrong in the first place to not deserve respect. All we wanted was a chance to play music and do what we love. People would shut us down. Now, it's like, 'We love Attila and want to tour with them.' That song says, 'I don't forget the past.'"
