Broken City

Album: Revelations (2006)

  • Audioslave lead singer Chris Cornell wrote this when the band was on tour. The "Broken City" is Detroit, Michigan. Says Cornell: "Detroit was the industrial center of the United States for the longest time, and now when you ride through Detroit you see these beautiful industrial buildings, what once was kind of the center of the universe now it's kind of abandoned, I have never seen anything like it, it's on one hand beautiful and from the other very eerie." >>
