Songfacts®:

  • This reggaeton anthem, which translates to "I twerk alone," is about an independent woman who doesn't need anyone else in her life and likes to dance alone at the club. Some of the lyrics translate to:

When she twerks she doesn't stop
She smokes and gets turned on
She'll call you if she needs you
    But for now, she's alone
  • The song starts off with the voice of the Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Genesis Rios, best known as Nesi. She also co-wrote the track with Bad Bunny.
  • The empowering music video, co-directed by Stillz and Bad Bunny himself, finds the Puerto Rican artist dressed in full drag. A group of women join him, and they all dance freely to the song.
  • Bad Bunny included "Yo Perreo Sola" in his Super Bowl halftime performance when the Seahawks beat up on the Patriots in 2026. He performed the song from a replica of his "Casita" in San Juan, with Pedro Pascal, Jessica Alba, Cardi B and Karol G among the guests.
