Songfacts®:

  • Danielle Bregoli became an internet star at the age of 13 following her appearance on the September 16, 2016 episode of Dr. Phil. Her angry performance on the show spawned a modern-day catchphrase: "Cash me outside, howbow dah?"

The Florida teen capitalized on her internet fame by launching a music career under the stage name Bhad Bhabie. "These Heaux" is her debut single, released on August 24, 2017.
  • Bregoli penned the song with Brittany B, whose other writing credits include Theophilus London's "Can't Stop" featuring Kanye West and Ledisi's "Let Love Rule." Brittany B told Genius she came up with the lyrical concept, which is how Bregoli is "not like anybody, we can't compare you to anyone, there hasn't been a teenage rap superstar in years."

She added that Bow Wow was probably the last teenage rap star "and she's passing him at this point. We have like Justin Bieber and those types of kid acts, but she's the first in this type of culture, this new Soundcloud rapper, trap rap culture."

So Brittany B and Bregoli started "coming up with lyrics, talking about everything we see." The producer, Mando Fresh, who has also worked with Meek Mill and Mike Stud helped them complete the song.
  • Initially Bregoli was going to go with a different song as her first single. Brittany B explained: "The label loved that record so much. It just sounded so authentic for her."
  • The track debuted on the Hot 100 at #77 in the week of September 23, 2017 making Bregoli, at 14-years-old, the youngest female rap artist to debut on the music chart.
  • In French, the "eaux" sound is pronounced the way one would pronounce an "oh" sound in English. So "heaux" is just Bhad Bhabie's way of saying "hoes."
