Songfacts®:

  • This is far from the first song called "All Because Of You," but it is undoubtedly the first and only one co-written by a Faerie Queen and her Knight, and is just as clearly autobiographical.

The 11th track on the 2001 Fires At Midnight album runs to around 3 minutes 34 seconds and as usual sees Ritchie Blackmore providing the music and Candice Night the words. By this time the two had been an item for a decade, and from the launch of Blackmore's Night in 1997 were reaping commercial success. They would go on to achieve even greater heights, and after their 2008 fairy tale wedding, Candice would present him with a daughter and then a son.

Is this happening? Is this fantasy?
    Never did I believe
    There could be such happiness

A sentiment that is shared by the composer as much as the lyricist. >>
