Songfacts®:

  • The title track of Brothers Osbourne debut album drives the disc's entire message. "It's a song on the record that's about a pawn shop. And we kind of thought, out of the whole theme, right off the bat, about how that makes you think and feel is kind of the vibe we have as artists and musicians and singers and guitar players," TJ Osborne explained to The Boot. "I think, probably, the first time in my life where I knew I really was going to stay in Nashville and do music is when I had to sell my guitar to do it. Now we can go back in the pawn shops and buy them."
  • Other songs about pawn shops include Sublime 1996 track "Pawn Shop" and Lana Del Rey's 2010 tune "Pawn Shop Blues."
