  • Bryan Ferry recalled session guitarist Chris Speeding's solo for this typically romantic number to Uncut: "I sort of tricked him, because it was one of those songs where it goes from one thing into a whole different mood, a different movement really," he said. "And I just let it go on into the next part of the song, with completely different chords and everything, and he did the most incredible kind of recovery with this solo that was very beautiful!"
  • The song's strings arrangement was by former Blue Mink keyboardist Ann O'Dell, who is featured on several Bryan Ferry albums. She played keys on Ferry's In Your Mind tour in 1977.
