Songfacts®:

  • This was one of the first songs written by lead singer Leslie Beattie, and was one of the songs that got her the spot as singer in the band. The lyrics are about a somewhat difficult co-worker and the song has become a sort of a joke among the band and their friends. They considered dropping it from the live set because its intended victim only attended their first show, but its hooky chorus has made it one of the most requested songs at their shows.
  • Seattle-based Cantona are named after the famous Manchester United striker Eric Cantona. Posies, Big Star guitarist and singer Jon Auer produced their first EP. >>
