Cowboys

Album: Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings (2008)
  • Written by lead singer Adam Duritz, this song is about a serial killer driving the highways of America. Adam imagined the worst possible extension of where he was. He talks about the president, but when we find out it's President Lincoln, we think maybe it's not real, and maybe none of the rest is real. At the end he surrenders. >>
