Songfacts®:

  • "Snowman's Song" is the second song from the mini-musical The Snowman And The Christmas Fairy, which was premiered at Sydenham Community Library on December 2, 2017. Like both the other songs in the show it was written by Deborah Garvey. The Snowman, played by Hjalmar Nordén, is frustrated that he is rooted to one spot, but help is at hand when the Christmas Fairy, who has just been made redundant, happens upon him. He promises to keep her company if she grants his wish to move. She does so, and he shows off his new motorbility skills before forgetting his promise and leaving her alone again. Deborah Garvey, who also played the piano for all the performances, incorporated a few bars of "O Tannenbaum" into the song. >>
