This midtempo ballad finds Demi teaming up with R&B singer-songwriter Jason Derülo to deliver an inspirational message about uniting to change the world. The song was recorded in Derülo's hometown of Miami in the middle of night after a mutual friend of the pair contacted him to see if he wanted to hook with Demi. "I came down to visit my grandfather for a day, so I went in at like 3 a.m. and we knocked it out," Derülo recalled to MTV News. "We were there till about 9 in the morning, but it was really cool."
The song was co-written by Demi along with Timbaland and one of his producers Jim Beanz (Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado).
Jimi Hendrix opened for The Monkees on their 1967 tour, and it did not go well. The young, mostly female crowd shouted "Davy" when Hendrix sang the word "Lady" in "Foxy Lady" in honor of who they came to see: Monkees lead singer Davy Jones.
