• Born Dylan Scott Robinson in Bastrop, Louisiana, Dylan Scott grew up in Beekman, a 15-minute drive north from Bastrop.
• Music runs in his family. His father, Scotty, played guitar and sang harmony for country artists Freddy Fender and Freddy Hart. His great aunt, Linda Robinson, taught renowned producer Tony Brown to play piano, and another relative played piano for Elvis' backing groups.
• Dylan Scott's father was his biggest critic and biggest supporter as a teenager. "I would be playing guitar in my room and he would walk in and say, 'You're over singing' and just shut the door," Scott recalled to Maverick Country. "And that's all he would tell me and it's like 'Thanks Dad I thought I sounded good.' But it's because of him that made me better."
• After completing high school, Scott relocated to Nashville. He worked in construction and as a part-time fitness trainer until his music career took off.
• His self-titled debut album, released in 2016, reached the Top 5 on the US Country Albums chart. "My Girl," from the album, became his first #1 on the Country Airplay chart and went 3× Platinum.
• Scott plays both guitar and piano; he started piano at age 4 and guitar at 12. While he considers himself more proficient on guitar, he plays both instruments by ear and enjoys using them for songwriting.
• Scott married his childhood sweetheart, Blair Robinson, on May 28, 2016, in Bastrop, Louisiana. They met in seventh grade and began dating in 2006. Scott credits his family for grounding him and inspiring many of his songs, including "My Girl," "Nobody" and "Can't Have Mine (Find You a Girl)."
• Many fans know Dylan Scott through his Instagram posts featuring his home life, wife, and kids.
• Dylan Scott's shows are focused on fun. He aims to create a space where fans can forget their troubles and enjoy the music in a lighthearted environment.
• Scott launched his own waste management company, The Trash Guys, in 2020 during COVID when he was unable to tour. It began as a modest operation with a single pickup truck and a dump trailer, and expanded into a multi-truck operation serving much of Northeast Louisiana.
