  • "Loving Life Again" is a deeply personal track that follows Ella Langley as she finds her way back to her center. The song reflects a pivotal period in August 2025 when the Alabama native stepped away from a fast-moving career to navigate illness and exhaustion. During this two-week hiatus, she canceled several high-profile shows, including headlining gigs and dates supporting Morgan Wallen on his One Night At A Time Tour (formerly the I'm the Problem Tour).

Ultimately, the track explores her journey of reconnecting with her Alabama roots, faith, and the quiet moments that restored her sense of peace when the world felt overwhelming.

"'Loving Life Again' was one of those songs that I wrote, almost because I needed to," explained Langley. "Last year, I just kind of lost my mind a little bit. My imposter syndrome kicked in. My life was moving faster than ever. All my dreams were coming true, but I felt sad for some reason, and just that in itself was frustrating. So I kinda lost myself a little bit last year and that was tough because all of these amazing things are happening in my life, and you'd think you'd be the happiest person in the world."

"I never cancel anything, maybe one or two shows the whole time, and I ended up canceling two weeks worth," she continued. "So I did that, I came back here. I closed on my first house here in Alabama coincidentally right around the same time, and I really just got to be back home with my family. I got to grow my relationship with my faith. When I looked in the mirror I looked like myself again by the end of those two weeks."
  • During her Alabama break, Langley's friend Ernest checked in on her. "He said, 'how are you doing?' Because he knew mentally I had been struggling a lot, and I looked at him, and I won't lie, I was left hand cigarettin'," Langley recalled. "And I said, just like that, I'm back to loving life again."

The following week they took the idea into a formal co-write session with Devin Dawson, where the song was finished.
  • Devin Dawson played electric, acoustic, and baritone guitar on the song, and Ernest sang background vocals. The other musicians are:

David Dorn: synthesizer and Hammond organ
    Tom Bukovac: electric guitar
    Ben Flanders: electric guitar
Charlie Worsham: acoustic guitar and mandolin
    Spencer Cullum: pedal steel guitar
    Rachel Loy: bass guitar
    Aaron Sterling: drums and percussion
  • Langley debuted "Loving Life Again" live on November 6, 2025, at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, on the first night of her two sold-out closing shows for her Hungover Tour era. Ernest joined her on stage.

"This is one that is on the next record," Langley told the crowd. "I've never played it live. We've only sang it together the day we wrote it and maybe two other times from that. So we're gonna test it out here tonight for y'all."
  • "Loving Life Again" was released as a single ahead of Langley's sophomore album, Dandelion. The album was executive produced by Langley alongside Miranda Lambert and Ben West. It leans heavily into self-reflection and lived-in storytelling.
