  • Ella Langley is a singer-songwriter who tackles life's experiences head-on, from love and joy to struggles and wild nights, weaving them into her unique blend of country, rock, and pop.

"All my songs are written from a true place," Langley shared with People Magazine. "I have felt every one of these emotions - the good, the bad, the rowdy, the drinking - everything. Those are all real things and real stories in my life."
  • Born in Hope Hull, Alabama, music has always been Ella's passion. She began her journey performing in local bars and festivals, honing her craft. Ella was majoring in Forestry at Auburn University before deciding to drop out in 2019 in favor of learning how to write songs in Nashville.
  • Langley's dedication paid off. Building a strong fanbase through social media, she released a string of singles. Her 2023 debut EP, Excuse The Mess, achieved impressive streaming numbers, exceeding 120 million in under a year.
  • Her 2024 duet with Riley Green, "You Look Like You Love Me," became a viral sensation on TikTok. It became her first Hot 100 hit, debuting at #53. The song was Langley's second entry on the Country chart, after "Strangers" with Kameron Marlowe, which peaked at #43 in February 2024.
  • Langley's talent extends beyond performing; she co-wrote five tracks on Elle King's 2023 album, Come Get Your Wife.
  • Despite her fame, Ella remains grounded. She finds strength in her Christian faith and actively connects with fans on social media.
  • When Ella Langley stopped by Taste of Country Nights in June 2025, she talked about her backstage setup. She has a snack lover's dream waiting for her, including Cheez-Its, Heath Bars, Smart Water, Red Bull, and, of course, some tequila (for her) and whiskey (for her band).

But Langley doesn't shy away from the redeye herself, admitting, "Sometimes if I feel a little under the weather, I'll take a shot of whiskey."
  • Speaking with Taste of Country Nights, Ella Langley revealed an unexpected - and oddly specific - fear: whales.

"So afraid of whales in the ocean," she confessed. "They're big and they might eat me and I don't like it."

It's not the usual country star phobia, but Langley owned it with a laugh. Turns out, even fearless performers have their deep-sea dealbreakers.
  • When Ella Langley graduated high school, she told her younger sister Katie that if her music career took off, by the time Katie graduated she'd take her to Hawaii. Katie took the promise to heart, painting a Hawaiian flower on her parking spot as a senior.

Ella, after "You Look Like You Love Me" hit #1, made good on it. In summer 2025, she took her sister and close friends to Hawaii to celebrate. "It's cool to see what can happen," she told Audacy's Katie Neal, reflecting on the years she spent playing in bars with a guitar and a tip jar.
  • Before stepping on stage, Ella and her band rub peppermint oil in their hands, take deep breaths and set their intentions for the show. They sometimes follow this with what she calls "loose body dancing" to loosen up their energy. "It's kind of like smelling salts before a football game," she joked.

The only downside? Accidentally touching your eyes with peppermint oil. "We've all done it," she said.
  • Ella Langley made a bit of Country-chart history on March 14, 2026, when she held the top two spots at the same time. Her song "Choosin' Texas" stayed at #1 for a 15th week, while "Be Her" climbed to #2. This achievement placed Langley in rare company. She became just the third female artist to occupy the top two positions simultaneously on the Country chart.

The first was Taylor Swift. She held the top two positions in October 2012 during the rollout of Red, when "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" was at #1 and the album's title track, "Red," debuted at #2.

Beyoncé reached the milestone in April 2024 during the opening chart week for her album Cowboy Carter. In that frame, "Texas Hold 'Em" debuted at #1 while "II Most Wanted," her duet with Miley Cyrus, entered at #2.
  • In August 2025, with her career in overdrive, Langley found herself overwhelmed and exhausted. She cancelled several concerts and took two weeks off, using the time to recharge and recalibrate. Her 2026 song "Loving Life Again" is about this time in her life and how it brought her to a better place.

  • Lori from TxThis song is going down as one of my all-time REAL country favorites. The key in which it's written, like that of Shelton's Texas, makes it a standout. You get those ole country western vibes. I like how this sound makes a comeback through artists like Lainey Wilson as well. Keep 'em coming! Vivid pictures are painted in the listener's mind.
