Benji Madden told Alternative Press: "Joel [Madden, vocals] and I wrote this one about his son and daughter and our niece. Having families and kids has given our lives new perspectives. This one feels like a more grown-up song that could not have been on our self-titled album. I learned to play guitar by listening to Oasis records, and this is straight out of the Noel Gallagher handbook."
It really was so easy for Linda Ronstadt to score a hit with her Buddy Holly cover of "It's So Easy." She would sometimes change the lyric to: "It's so easy to have a hit, all you have to do is recycle it."
Bob Dylan's most popular song is "Like A Rolling Stone," which tells the story of a wealthy woman whose money and friends fall away. Dylan offers these mockingly encouraging words: "When you ain't got nothing, you got nothing to lose."
