  • "Shadow Of Your Love" was written by singer Axl Rose and guitarist Izzy Stradlin with Axl's childhood friend Paul Tobias, who was a member of Guns N' Roses from 1994 until 2002. The track was originally recorded by Axl and Izzy's pre-Guns N' Roses band Hollywood Rose and later released on the 2004 The Roots of Guns N' Roses compilation album.
  • This was the first track Guns N' Roses ever rehearsed together for Appetite producer Mike Clink during studio sessions circa 1986. Original GN'R drummer Steve Adler recalled to MusicRadar.com:

    "Axl showed up late. We were playing the song, and right in the middle of the song Axl showed up and he grabbed the microphone and was running up and down the walls screaming. I thought, 'This is the greatest thing ever.' We knew right then what we had."
  • The song was included on the Locked N' Loaded deluxe boxed set of Appetite For Destruction. Released on May 4, 2018 to promote the collection, the song landed at # 31 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Songs. "Shadow" was Guns 'N Roses' first track to crack the chart in nearly a decade and the band's 22nd entry overall.
