I Love You (Prelude To Tragedy)
by HIM

Album: Razorblade Romance (1999)

  • The first track on HIM's second album, the song is a tale of unrequited love. Frontman Ville Valo sings from the perspective of a man who loves a woman who does not love him back. The more she repels him, the more he loves her.

The subtitle (Prelude To Tragedy) doesn't appear in the lyrics. It implies that the singer knows how this will end, but can't help declaring his love.
