Songfacts®:

  • The Testimony: Vol. 2, Love & Politics album was originally planned with songs that hadn't fit conceptually into Arie's previous Love & Relationship set. However the soul singer-songwriter revealed in publicity materials that a chance meeting with the popular Turkish artist Sezen Aksu in New York "changed the vision of what I can do. It made me just say: Do what I want to do, no matter the consequences. I went to Hawaii the next month, visualized the album, started writing songs."
  • This song was co-written by Sezen Aksu and features his vocals.
