  • Every now and then, Jason Mraz hears a voice in his head that tells him to give up on his career - and he responds by writing a song. That was the case with the closing track to his eighth studio album, Mystical Magical Rhythmical Radical Ride.

"As a songwriter, I end up writing the songs that keep me going, which is 'If You Think You've Seen It All,'" he explained in a 2023 Songfacts interview.

"It's another mental-health song to cheer me up, keep me going, stay positive. Even if this is the end of the record, even if it's the end of this year, you're ready to begin something beautiful. So, stay present, stay grateful, and enjoy the ride. That's how the record ends. And it's not even an ending because it's just an album, and it's 45 minutes or so, so it hasn't been that long. No reason to quit yet. Take it for another spin."
  • Mraz brings the album full circle by ending it with the lyric, "We're just getting started," which references the opening track, "Getting Started."
  • Mraz went the reggae route on his previous album, Look For The Good (2020), and Mystical Magical Rhythmical Radical Ride was touted as his return to pop. He teamed up with his former producer Martin Terefe, who helmed his 2008 album, We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things. - of "I'm Yours" fame - for the release.
