Songfacts®:

  • "Pedro" is a collaboration between German dance music producers Jaxomy and Agatino Romero. They put a fresh spin on the 1980 Italian hit by the legendary Raffaella Carrà. Not quite a cover, the two producers place Carrà's original vocals into a modern new wave techno soundscape, creating a dance floor fusion.
  • The song retains many of the Italian lyrics, telling the story of a woman lost on the streets. A young boy named Pedro offers to be her guide, and she, intrigued, accepts. But as they explore the city together, it becomes clear Pedro might possess a deeper knowledge of these streets than he initially lets on.
  • Released on March 29, 2024, "Pedro" garnered traction on TikTok through a trend involving dancing pets within a rotating spotlight.
