  • Tatiana Shmailyuk, lead singer of the Ukrainian progressive-metal band Jinjer, wrote this scathing number about religious hypocrites after a good friend - a fellow musician and Pisces - accused her of being immoral. The so-called friend took offense when Shmailyuk posed in lingerie on Instagram to promote a woman's small business. After receiving some perverted comments, the singer removed the post but, little did she know, the damage was done.

"My friend, who I won't name, started dwelling on this behind my back on all her social media. She did streams and posted it on Twitter, saying, 'You don't have to do that. You're not bad as a singer, so you don't have to show your body to have success.' And then she blocked me from her social media!" she recalled in a 2022 Songfacts interview.

"So that's the song about her. She tried to teach me morality without even knowing the reason why I put those things out - because I wanted to help a person promote her products, not to gain attention or popularity. So, long story short, this is for bitches like her."
  • After releasing their previous album, King Of Everything, Jinjer ventured out for two tours across Europe with Arch Enemy and their first tour of North America, alongside Cradle Of Filth. Because they needed some fresh songs to play live, they cut the 2019 EP Micro, which unexpectedly got their creative juices flowing for another full-length release that same year: Macro.

With Ukrainian producer Max Morton at the helm, they integrated elements of reggae and progressive rock on the releases. Jinjer bassist Eugene Abdukhanov told Billboard: "We felt much freer in terms of music. Any sort of stylistic boundaries, they do not exist for us. It's diversity and diversity and, again, diversity."
