This is the first single from English folk rock musician Johnny Flynn's second album, Been Listening. Flynn discussed the tune in an interview with The Sun: "It's actually quite an old song. I brushed it up after it sat around for a few years. It's about society being strung along by ideology in its various forms - religion… the media."
The song "Sadeness" by Enigma (the one with the chanting monks), got its name from the French novelist Marquis de Sade, who believed sex had to be painful in order to be pleasurable - thus the word "sadism."
Boston leader Tom Scholz went back to his job at Polaroid after releasing the group's debut album. When his co-workers kept coming by to tell him "More Than A Feeling" was playing on the radio, he knew it was time to quit his day job.
