Songfacts®:

  • Joss Stone told The Daily Telegraph the story behind this song: "Molly Town is about a couple I met when I was traveling in France with my ex. We lived outside of an Irish pub called Molly's for a month."

"There was an English guy working there as a chef, Daniel, and he had a beautiful girlfriend called Stella from Bordeaux. And Daniel told us his story, of how he set off to travel all around Europe but only got as far as Bordeaux cos he met Stella and he never wanted to leave her. We have a little French accordion in there, to set the mood."
