Songfacts®:

  • This apocalyptic track finds Lil Wayne and guest rapper Nicki Minaj proclaiming that even if the Earth is destroyed, they will still be there for each other.

The sky is falling, intergalactical, intergalactical love
And I'll be waiting for you,
On the dark side of the moon

The song title is a reference to Pink Floyd's landmark 1973 album of the same name.
  • Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj have a long history dating back to her being discovered by Weezy and opening for him on his 2008 America's Most Wanted Tour. The first of their many collaborations was a remake of Young Gunz's "Can't Stop, Won't Stop" on the Queen Barbz's 2007 debut mixtape, Playtime Is Over.
  • This song was helmed by UK-based artist and producer Bloque after Young Money Entertainment President Mack Maine reached out to him on Instagram at the beginning of 2017. He co-produced it with Jonah Christian. It was the first placement with a major artist for both beatmakers.
