Pressure

Album: Pressure (2013)

Songfacts®:

  • Baltimore born, London based, Max Marshall's singing career began to fly, following the release of her Forgive Me mixtape, which picked up widespread plaudits. Marshall achieved her first UK chart hit in January 2014, when she provided vocals for Matrix & Futurebound's tune "Control."
  • This is the title track of her debut EP. The song was inspired by the Field Day music festival in Victoria Park, London when Marshall turned up unplanned and found all her friends there.
  • Marshall used to be Lady Gaga's wigmaker. She explained to Interview magazine: "I used to work with the haute couture designer, Charlie Le Mindu. We once made her a hair piano. She just loves hair. We actually did everything - outfits, accessories and wigs."
