Songfacts®:

  • Having recently become a grandfather, Smith was inspired to title this song after his growing family. He recorded the tune with a 65-piece orchestra at the AIR Studios, in London. The Christian musician explained: "There's a Nutcracker, influence to this one , and it was especially fun to record - it really took off and got a big sound once the orchestra joined us in London, a sort of Harry Potter meets Hook thing. There's a childlike feel to the music, which inspired me to name it after my grandson, who is named after me. The name Whitaker goes way back in my family."
