Songfacts®:

  • Morrisson's six-minute diss track "Cos of You" takes aim at Digga D and members of his CGM gang. Morrisson revisits his history with Digga D, makes personal allegations, and questions his rival's identity and background. This is not simply a case of two rappers exchanging insults for sport; the feud has roots that extend well beyond the recording studio.
  • Morrisson accuses Digga D of contributing to a culture that harms young people by glorifying gang life. He claims Digga D is helping poison the very audience that looks up to him.

The most painful part of the dispute concerns Morrisson's brother, Steven "SteveO" Morrison, who was fatally stabbed in Epping, Essex, in 2020. In 2026, Ellis Heather, aka Rack5, a key member of CGM, was convicted of the murder and sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 28 years. Morrisson blames Digga D for grooming Rack5 and criticizes him and the rest of the CGM crew for abandoning Rack5 now that he is behind bars.
  • Morrisson (who is white) also questions the image presented by EGA, the label and distribution company associated with Digga D. He challenges its claim of being Black-owned, rapping:

Yo, I thought EGA's an all black label?
Well, that's what you say to bring rappers to the table

Colin Batsa, Charley Snook, and Victor Omos founded EGA Distro in 2010. Its label arm has released music by Digga D, M Huncho, and K Trap, while Snook also manages Digga D. Batsa has publicly presented EGA as proof that Black entrepreneurs and women can build successful music businesses, instead of leaving the industry entirely to middle-class white executives.

Morrisson questions whether that message is just a pitch to lure talent, claiming a white executive holds the real power above Batsa. He then directs a crude sexual insult at Snook, taking the argument from corporate ownership straight into personal territory.

Earlier in the track, Morrisson threatens to pull up on Batsa at EGA's offices, accusing him of profiting off the publicity generated by beef tracks. In Morrisson's eyes, even a violent feud gets turned into a business opportunity.
  • Diss tracks carry a long tradition of turning real-world rivalries into chart hits, echoing famous rap feuds like Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us." "Cos of You" became Morrisson's first UK Top 40 hit when it entered the Official Singles Chart at #40 during the week of October 9–15, 2026.
