Songfacts®:

  • "'Seasons' is a song I wrote about a conversation I had with a friend of mine," Needtobreathe vocalist Bear Rinehart told American Songwriter. "The short of it was that he had been going through some crazy things with his wife. And he just really felt crushed by it and came home one day from work and told his wife, 'I'm not going back until we figure out how to live our life without crashing every time we get bad news.' And that really struck me, so that's what 'Seasons' is about - going through these tough times with people you love and knowing you'll be able to get through it without acting so strongly." >>

  • Along with "Hang On," this was one of the first singles the Christian rock band released after guitarist Bo Rinehart left the group in 2020.
