Towards the end of recording of Radiosurgery, New Found Glory invited Bethany Cosentino of the Indie Rock band Best Coast to provide backing vocals on this track. Cosentino is a fan of the band, and they became friends through Twitter. Guitarist Chad Gilbert explained on the band's website: "The story goes, I wanted to get in to see their sold out show at the Troubadour and didn't have a ticket. I tweeted them half kidding about putting me on the guest list! Come to find out they were NFG fans and totally hooked me up. Since then we've been buds!"
The Isley Brother's song, "Contagious," peaked at #19 on the Billboard Hot 100. This meant that the band of brothers became the first group to score a Top 50 hit in six consecutive decades on the chart.
It was never a big hit, but "She's A Rainbow" became one of the most popular Rolling Stones songs in the digital age when it started showing up in commercials (iMac, Photoshop), and TV shows (American Horror Story: Coven, Ted Lasso).
"St. Elmo's Fire (Man In Motion)" was not written for the movie, but for Rick Hanson, a wheelchair athlete whose 1985 "Man In Motion" tour logged 24,856 miles on his wheelchair in 34 countries while raising $26 million for spinal cord research.
