Songfacts®:

  • This is the title track and lead single from American rock band New Found Glory's seventh album, which was released on October 4, 2011. The title is a metaphor, referencing the way radiosurgery allows non-invasive treatment of tumors as an analogy for dealing with those tough situations in life that need healing. The band explained: "There are certain things in life that are extremely hard to get over. No matter how hard or long you go trying to forget, it's always there somewhere in your mind. Some things can be so heavy they torment and enter every thought making you feel semi-insane. If our thoughts were like tumors we could have them removed."
  • The Meiert Avis directed music video was shot at the historically haunted Linda Vista Community Hospital in Boyle Heights. Various horror movies such as Nightmare on Elm Street and Day of the Dead 2: Contagium have been filmed there as well as many metaphysical television shows.
  • The video is a direct homage to the Ramones clip for their 1981 single "I Wanna Be Sedated."
