Songfacts®:

  • The song compares a woman to a force of nature who is caught up in her own destruction. Contrary to popular belief, it's not about Meg Mathews, Noel Gallagher's ex-wife. Says Gallagher: "I don't like talking about my ex-wife because I'm more mature than that. It's like some people think the song 'Force Of Nature' is about her as its lyrics are about someone taking my cash. But it's not. Whatever I have to say, I'll say to her and not to the press." He adds: "I wrote [the song] for a film with Jude Law and Jonny Lee Miller (Love, Honor, and Obey) a year before I got divorced." >>>
