Songfacts®:

  • This was inspired by two different songs:

"Have Love Will Travel" by garage rockers The Sonics. Faith told Q magazine: "For 'Trouble With My Baby' we wanted to write the kind of song that could vamp round and round and be fun for musicians like this one."

"No Good Lover" by late '50s R&B duo Mickey & Sylvia Faith: Said Faith: "Thematically I loved the humour in this song and it inspired the style of 'Trouble With My Baby.'"
