• Urie co-wrote and co-produced "Don't Let the Light Go Out" with his regular production contributors, Mike Viola and Jake Sinclair. Because it interpolates Janis Ian's 1975 soft rock hit "At Seventeen" she gets a songwriting credit too.
• Panic! At The Disco released "Don't Let the Light Go Out" as the fourth single from Viva Las Vengeance. Urie cut the album live and direct into a tape machine with Jake Sinclair and Mike Viola in Los Angeles.
• The surreal black-and-white video shows Urie driving a classic car while experiencing visions of his lost lover.
  
  Brendan Walter shot the visual. He also directed the videos for Panic's previous Viva Las Vengeance singles, "Viva Las Vengeance" and "Middle Of A Breakup."
