Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton Artistfacts

  • February 17, 1981
  • A scion of the Hilton hotels empire, Paris in the great-granddaughter of founder Conrad Hilton. She rose to fame as a socialite, showing up at swanky events and getting in the gossip columns by hobnobbing with celebrities. In 2003, she parlayed that notoriety into reality TV stardom with the series The Simple Life, where she and Nicole Richie (Lionel's daughter) invaded the heartland with their insufferable elitist antics. Viewers loved to hate on her, but they couldn't stop watching - the show ran for five seasons.
  • Hilton's music career launched in 2006 with the single "Stars Are Blind." Many radio stations played a game of "guess the singer" when they played it; listeners were shocked to learn that Hilton could actually sing competently. The song was a #1 Dance hit and went to #1 in a handful of countries, including Scotland and Hungary.
  • Hilton's catch phrase is "that's hot," which she said repeatedly on The Simple Life. She used it in 2023 when she appeared in commercials pitching Taco Bell's Volcano Menu.
  • Her younger sister, Nicky Hilton, was her partner in crime in the early '00s when they would show up at events together. During this time, they were known as "The Hilton Sisters" and were equally famous. Nicky ducked out of celebrity to become a fashion designer as Paris sought out the spotlight.
  • After releasing her debut album, Paris, in 2006, Hilton put her music career on a backburner and didn't put out another until 2024, when she returned with Infinite Icon. It was part of media blitz that included a reboot of The Simple Life called Paris & Nicole: The Encore.
  • The celebrity blogger Perez Hilton (real name: Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr.) based his pseudonym on Paris. His blog was immensely popular from about 2006-2010, introducing a new level of snark and celebrity intrusion that shaped the discourse.
  • She's been linked to lots of celebrities but married someone who isn't famous, a businessman named Carter Reum. They wed in 2021 and welcomed two children in 2023: son Phoenix and daughter London.
  • Paris Hilton did a lot of DJ sets over the years but didn't perform a full concert until June 7, 2023, when she played the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, with guest appearances by Saweetie and Kim Petras. Many of her famous friends came out to see her, including Elle Fanning and Ashlee Simpson.
