Songfacts®:

  • Passion is a Christian organization founded by Louie Giglio in 1997, which is known for their annual gatherings of young people. The live albums drawn from each year's conferences have produced some of the most popular contemporary worship songs sung at churches. This track, co-written and sung by Atlanta worship leader Kristian Stanfill, is the title track of their 2019 release.
  • Stanfill explained to NewReleaseToday that the song is an exhortation to step out in faith and "to go anywhere and do anything in the name of Jesus."

    Wherever You lead me
    Whatever it costs me
    All I want is You

The worship leader admitted to wrestling with some of the song's lyrics. "It is a costly thing to say and I can feel myself shrink back from that commitment," he said. "I like my life and my comforts and the stuff that I have. Am I okay with saying yes to whatever Jesus asks me to do? The answer has to be yes."
