A second disc was included featuring eight dance remixes, including one for this song which climbed to the top of Billboard's Dance Club/Play Songs chart.
  • Plumb told Billboard magazine that her chart-topping success is rewarding on both a personal and professional level. She said: "'Hang On' was written about finding hope when you feel hopeless. For it to be #1 is not just a fantastic feeling, it's incredibly satisfying knowing I gave my fans what they wanted."
