  • Part of a musical family, by age 13 she was a regular on the Philadelphia club scene. At 14, she began writing her own songs. Pink was spotted one night by an executive for MCA, who asked her to audition, which eventually led to signing with L.A. Reid/Babyface label LaFace.

She recalled to Q magazine: "I actually ran into Steve Buscemi on the street in New York before my first album came out. I had these big f---ing Elton John glasses on, pink hair and carried a Pink Panther toy. I went 'Steve! Mr Pink! I'm Pink! Because of you! I'm going to have an album and you're going to know who I am!' And he was like 'What the f--k, lady?' and just ran away from me. I've never met him since. He was scared s---liss of me. Sorry Steve!"

"I'm like nervous when I have to look at people, and then I'm upside down and I'm doing my thing and I'm like, 'This is nothing!'"

  • Patty from Phoenix Area ArizonaMany of Alicia's songs are like footprints of my life and I can really relate. I sit here this moment facing an even worst enemy than I have ever had, it is the big C word. I fear, I am afraid, I wanna cry, but my years can't fall. A minimal amount of chemo and radiation will be 30 times over and 6 weeks minimum. My faith is there, but my heart isn't ready to leave because I haven't finished what I am supposed to do here. I have been abused, raped, beat, falsly accused, and been fierce in protecting my family, and today I am this little puppy who needs to cry, but can't. Pinks songs have kept me grounded. I even listened to them when they were making my body mask for my radiation and will tomorrow as they put me out again. This is my 3 rd fight for life, will it be last? Due to covid I think it may be. I can't tell anyone, I don't feel strong. Nobody knows speaks loud to me at this time.
  • Renee W from Long Beach, Ca.Pink is my absolute favorite! She's allowed to say what I feel in every song.
Best time of my life was at the FORUM few years ago.
    I was 2nd section. 2nd row. I went alone.
Which to this day. I feel empowered from that decision.
Pink. I see you. I saw you flying over me.
So strong. So confident. So perfectly at ease.
My soul relaxed for 1st time in years.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Not only are the shows several grand experiences at once. Song. Acrobatics. 3D graphics. Stage presence. But, every part was awesome! Thank you for taking me for a truly unforgettable ride. All I know so far says what I wish my daughter would let me tell her.
God bless you and I pray you shine for many years to come.
Oh, best of luck with upcoming Hollywood bowl event.
Pandemic crushed my finances. But, perhaps you'll come back to L.A. next year?
  • Kayla from Edmonton Alberta CanadaI absolutely have to listen to at least 5 of her songs a day...any mood any feeling any emotion hard time good time I don't care times heartbreaks and grief.
  • Linda from Oakland, Ca, UsaFascinating fact about why she and Carey chose Willow. I hope she grows up to be exactly what her name means. I love Pink. She swears a lot in her songs but her songs are quality and mature. She has a raspy and hoarse voice that makes me cringe a bit, but she is an excellent singer and songwriter. In interviews, she is honest and direct and doesn't hold back. My favorite song is "Just Give Me a Reason."
  • Danielle from Corning, IaMy favorite song was "Dear Mr. President."
