Songfacts®:

  • This song was written by Ray Dobrinski of Porter County Line, whose brother Fred was an original member of the country-rock band Heartsfield in the early to late 1970's. While Fred was on the road, younger brother Ray says he had no guitar to play and resorted to penning the lyrics to this bouncy toe-tapper about touring our wonderful and scenic country.
