  • Randy Houser was born and raised in Lake, Mississippi, a small town east of Jackson.
  • While at East Central Community College in Decatur, Mississippi. Houser fronted a band called 10lb. Biscuit but he left them behind in 2002 to pursue his dreams in Nashville.
  • Houser quickly landed a publishing deal in Nashville. His first big hit came when Trace Adkins recorded "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk", a song Houser co-wrote with Jamey Johnson and Dallas Davidson, for his 2005 album Songs About Me. Released as a single it peaked at #30 on the Hot 100.
  • Houser signed to Universal South Records in 2008. His second single, "Boots On," peaked at #2 on the country chart, but was followed by four songs that failed to break into the Top 30. His 2012 single "How Country Feels" was Houser's second breakthrough as a solo artist becoming the first of five consecutive top ten country hits.
  • Houser married Jessa Lee Yantz in 2011 and they welcomed a son named West Houser the following year. The couple divorced in 2014 and the singer was so determined to get away without his wife that he took out a restraining order, blocking her from accompanying him on a vacation trip to the Bahamas they had originally planned to take together.
  • Randy Houser married Australian native Tatiana Starzynski, the sister-in-law of his songwriter pal Dallas Davidson on May 4, 2016. They tied the knot at the Homestead Manor in Franklin, Tennessee. with 120 friends and family in attendance. The two walked down the aisle to Florida Georgia Line's song "H.O.L.Y ." Houser's 4-year-old son West and dog Hawk served as ring bearers, escorted by FGL's Tyler Hubbard, one of his groomsmen.
