• Born Rodarius Marcell Green, Rod Wave is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. Wave is known for his passionate vocals, honest and introspective lyrics, and a unique blend of hip-hop and R&B. He is recognized as a trailblazer of soul-trap.
• Wave grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida, and had a difficult childhood. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father went to jail. Wave turned to the streets to make money and was involved in several illegal activities, finding himself in and out of juvenile centers. • Rod Wave welcomed his twin daughters - Kash and Mocha - with his longtime girlfriend, Kelsey Dee Coleman, in 2020. On his 2021 single "Street Runner," Wave apologizes to Kelsey for being away from home, grinding all the time. He admits his busy lifestyle is detrimental to their relationship.
• Rod Wave's got a real heart for his hood. He's passionate about giving back to his community, whether it's through back-to-school drives or supporting local organizations.
