Songfacts®:

  • Casada Sorrell is a Detroit rapper who records under the name of Sada Baby. He first emerged in 2018 with his breakout track "Bloxk Party," and the following year his mixtape Bartier Bounty landed on Billboard's Best Albums of 2019 List. This dance-heavy song is the lead single from Sada Baby's debut album.
  • This R-rated song features Sada's brash lyricism as he warns an adversary not to disrespect him and his gang. "Bang! Whole Lotta Choppas on ya ass," he spits. "Choppa" is a slang term for a kind of an automatic gun that makes a distinctive sound like a helicopter when it's shot.
  • Soon after its release, "Whole Lotta Choppas" went viral on TikTok as a dance challenge created by @ohbukster. Celebrity videos include ones by Heidi Klum, Tyga, Tinashe and Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster.
  • Sada Baby's go-to producer CoalCash Blac came up with the energetic instrumentation that is reminiscent of the early '90s Miami bass sound.
  • 20K Visuals filmed the video which shows Sada Baby hosting a house party in Miami surrounded by models and his Big Squad crew.
  • Sada Baby dropped a remix on October 16, 2020. It features Nicki Minaj's first new verses since a three-months-long hiatus because of the birth of her son. The Queen's MC recorded her extended cameo just before she became a new mom.
