Songfacts®:

  • Angels & Vampires is a departure from Maitreya's earlier work in that the sound is more stripped-down and the songs are available only as downloads. Maitreya, who changed his name from Terence Trent d'Arby in 2001, told Songfacts about this song: "I often dream of dolphins when I am under stress. I trust them and their energy is amazing to be around. When I used to live in America on the beach I would always see the dolphins. This song was inspired by them and dedicated to the dolphin in our spirit!"
