Songfacts®:

  • Original vocalist Carah Faye Charnow left Shiny Toy Guns in 2008, moving to Sweden for a new project, Versant. In early 2011 the band announced she was rejoining Shiny Toy Guns, along with her husband, Daniel Johansson. This track tells the story of the band's reunion. Keyboardist Jeremy Sawson explained to Artist Direct: "'Carrie' is the metaphoric story of the breakup, falling apart, and reunion of the band. If you listen to the lyrics, they tell two different sides of a broken story we were going through a few years ago. It's one of the older songs."
