Songfacts®:

  • Stereophonics' tenth studio album Scream Above The Sounds album was released on October 27, 2017. Inspired by today's world, its title comes from a line in this track.

    Three o'clock in the morning
We hear a scream above the sounds
Looks like the baby in her belly
Thinks it's time to come on out

This song was released as the lead single from Scream Above The Sounds.
  • The long player's title came to Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones one night. He recalled to The Sun: "We were mixing the album and the line jumped out at me."

"The title comes from my feeling that we're constantly being bombarded with information, at the moment it's mainly bad news, but you can't get away from it," Jones added. "You need to be able to separate yourself from all that, to decompress, I think too much people are over-reliant on it."
