  • Sugarland's Kristian Bush had the whole first verse of this Country heartbreaker worked out, before the idea for some three-part harmony came up.
  • Jennifer Nettles, who is the other half of Sugarland, said on the duo's website that this song reminded her of some of the southern Baptist hymns she grew up on, and liked that the story's not clear cut as it's a mystery of who this character is that is coping with such a dramatic loss. She said: "It's a beautiful thing when we get to play characters that are complicated."
