The second single by R&B, singer-songwriter T-Pain from his fourth studio album, RevolveR, was produced by Young Fyre and features Nappy Boy Entertainment rapper Joey Galaxy, who was formerly known as Young Cash. It was released to iTunes on July 12, 2011.
The music video features not only Joey Galaxy but also comedian Kevin Hart, who previously appeared in the visual for Three 6 Mafia's "Lolli Lolli (Pop That Body)."
"Crank That (Soulja Boy)" was the most successful digital track of 2007 in the US with 2,909,000 downloads. On January 6, 2008 it became the first song ever to sell 3 million digital copies in the States.
