  • The Sun August 15, 2008 asked Thompson why he titled the album "A Piece of What you Need." He replied: "It was written out of being slightly frustrated at the state of music. As a musician of substance (I don't mean to big myself up), as a non-pop star, you look at what's on the radio and what's playing in people's cars and you find what they really like is simple, non-challenging stuff. You think: "What's the point?" I'm suggesting this album is a more solid piece, something that requires a bit more effort and has a better foundation."
